The objective of our Aerodrome Flight Information Service (AFIS) Rating Training Course is to enable the successful candidate to receive a student Aerodrome Flight Information Service Operator license.
The candidate at the centre of our training concept, we use modern learning principles and proven pedological techniques to provide candidates with high-class theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to receive a student Aerodrome Flight Information Service Operator license.
The AFIS Course is divided into phases. Each phase contains theoretical training followed by practical training. We blend the theoretical and practical training to ensure candidates can apply theoretical knowledge in the AFIS Tower environment.
Simulation during the course will gradually increase in the degree of difficulty. We will train IFR and VFR traffic handling, low visibility, Emergencies and more. GATE will incorporate ‘special operations / events’ in order to meet the absolute best simulation and preparation for the candidate’s unit training.
